Scientists and other experts have studied these people and offered various explanation for this difference. One such civilization hidden for long is the inhabitants of a highland called Piedade, located some 200 km from Sao Paulo, Brazil. These people enjoy long lives and great health and rarely suffer from the common illnesses and degenerative diseases.
A Japanese living in Brazil visited Piedade, about 50 years ago, and found that the people there ate a special kind of mushroom not found anywhere in Brazil or the rest of the world. Mushroom samples were sent to Japan for study and cultivation.

Coincidentally, two American scientists had also visited Piedade at about this time and reached similar conclusions. They published their results, from the analysis of the nutritional content of these unique Brazilian mushrooms, in a range of scientific journals in 1965.

Miraculous Healing Power of Agaricus Blazei Murill (Agaricus Brazil Mushroom)

From these results, it was deduced that the beta-glucan polysaccharides in Agaricus Blazei Murill activate the immunity of the normal biological tissues to simulate the production of mutation-fighting cells like Natural Killer (NK) cells, Lymphocyte T-cells, Helper T-cells, interferon and interleukin to maintain and strengthen healthy immune system.
